safetee becomes official supplier of the Porsche European Open 2021.

Safety goes Fore! The innovative German start-up safetee and the Porsche European Open are establishing a special partnership. The focus of the cooperation is the safety of the volunteers and staff on site at the European Tour tournament on the Porsche North Course of the Green Eagle Golf Courses from 3 to 6 June 2021. They will be in a certain danger zone for almost the entire event and are exposed to the risk of flying golf balls. In 2018 alone, around 100,000 accidents caused by balls and clubs were officially reported worldwide. Even on professional tours, injuries occur time and again. Equipping volunteers and staff with protective caps is therefore an important preventive step.

“The Porsche European Open gains in safety through this partnership with safetee. And that is a strong signal in these times when the protection of everyone involved is paramount at events of this kind. We were impressed by the impressive efforts of this young company in a previously neglected area. We are glad to be able to act at this time and not have to react to an accident,” says Dirk Glittenberg, Managing Director of U.COM Event.

“We are glad that U.COM Event, as an organiser, is dedicated to the topic of safety and attaches as much relevance to it as we do at safetee. As an official supplier, we not only have the opportunity to draw attention to the topic of safety, but also gain international reach to position our innovative head protection on the world stage of professional golf. We look forward to being able to offer other organisers the added value of increased safety standards for volunteers, staff and tournament visitors on golf tours in the future,” says Philipp Schneider, founder of safetee.

Intensive cooperation with leading tours, event organisers and tournament sponsors will facilitate access to safetee caps on site at events in the future. This will ensure more safety at golf tournaments worldwide. “The Porsche European Open is a fundamental step in this process and we are very happy about the cooperation,” says safetee founder Schneider.
